DEAF ASPIRATIONS are absolutely delighted with the donation of £5K from JOHN CONNELLY (see photo above of the Old Oratorians Reunion with John placed fourth along the right back row) and the SPIRIT OF BELSYZE FOUNDATION towards helping to set up themselves as a registered charity with the Charity Commission and also aiming to enable deaf children, young people and adults to become leaders and role models of tomorrow via SPORTING achievements, education, training, technological advances and creative entrepreneurship.

Ken Carter who has a background of sporting achievements was delighted when he joined the staff at the Oratory School as in his Rugby 1st XV was none other than John Connelly who was an outstanding player and a very good role model. On leaving school John went onto become a highly successful business man who eventually made his financial base in Monaco.

He did not forget the UK and especially London and was instrumental in helping to re-establish and make Belsize Rugby Football Union a highly successful club of which he is now the President. See a photo below with John, Fiona, Ken & others from Belsize RFU.

Ken’s wife Helen (CEO of Deafax) and himself went on a wonderful trip when they were down in Nice (France) to John’s lovely mansion in the French Alps- see some photos below-).It was an experience they would not have wanted to miss.

One of John’s best friends at the Oratory School was Peter Boos who now lives in Barbados. John frequently visits Peter and always enjoys himself and the hospitality of Peter, Jan and the rest of their lovely & friendly family. Please see a lovely Christmas photo of Peter & John celebrating.
